This high quality floating shelf is matte white painted giving it high visual appeal as there are no unsightly visible laminate joints between junction of front face and top of shelf. Weight capacity of the shelf can be up to 15kg of evenly distributed load on the shelf providing the shelf bracket is fitted correctly into a good condition solid brick/cement type wall with the screws and plugs supplied or into wooden studs in a hollow cavity gyprock type wall using wall screws to suit. Extra holes can be drilled as required in the base of the bracket to coincide with stud positioning.(highly recommended).Using your spirit level, ensure the bracket is level on the wall, and the stamped arrow on the bracket base is pointing upwards. Ensure there is no movement of the bracket support tubes once it is fitted tightly to the wall. This floating shelf can be fitted to hollow cavity walls using our high quality hollow wall anchors available on this website HW3. Minimum of 5 are required per shelf. When fitting only to gyprock/drywall sheeting the weight capacity of the floating shelf will be dependent on the strength of the wall sheeting, but expect up to 10kg of evenly distributed load when fitted correctly by an experienced shelving installer using only the recommended wall fixings. We do not recommend using wall mates type wall anchors for fitting floating shelf brackets. A correctly installed bracket will have no visible movement between the brackets base part and the wall surface when load is applied to the bracket rods. Ensure the installer checks this before fitting the shelf to the bracket.
