New is a shallower size floating shelf, 1 metre long x 150mm deep matte black finish floating shelf with a weight capacity of up to 10kg exclusive to shelvingshop. Ideal for narrow spaces such as corridors, foyers, bathrooms, or any area where space is a premium.Very simple to fit using the hidden bracket included, plus all screws and wall fixings supplied for fitting to solid brick/cement type walls.  Weight capacity of all floating type shelves is vastly improved when fitting into a solid/brick type wall or fitting to the studs in a cavity wall if the stud spacing and positioning suits. When fixing to hollow cavity walls it is recommended to fix at least one fixing hole to a stud if possible. Hollow wall fixings available are available on this website. Use a minimum of 5 per bracket (5 per shelf). Please note the weight capacity of the shelf will be dependent on the strength of the gyprock wall sheeting if fitted directly into that type of wall surface but expect up to 10kg.
