3 x high quality Oak veneer laminate finish floating shelves made in Germany make up this exclusive triple shelf deal, the sizes are 1150 x 250 x 50 mm in thickness. Brackets are supplied, plus fixings for fitting to a solid brick/cement type wall. Ideally these floating shelves should be fitted to solid brick walls for the best weight capacity, however they can be fitted to hollow gyprock type walls using the correct fixings. Please note the maximum weight capacity is only achieved when fitting to solid brick type walls or to the studs in a hollow cavity wall, (if the stud positions line up with the bracket spacing). These floating shelves each have a weight capacity of up to 30kg when fitted correctly to a good condition brick/masonry type wall using the supplied European made screws and wall plugs, fitted by an experienced shelving installer. The floating shelves can also be fitted to cavity gyprock walls using these hollow wall anchors here. Use 2 per bracket so 4 per shelf. Weight capacity would then be dependent on the strength of the gyprock wall sheeting, but expect up to 10kg when fitted correctly by an experienced shelving installer using the HW4 anchors. We do not recommend using “wall mates” brand hollow wall anchors for fitting floating shelf brackets. A correctly installed shelf bracket installed using the provided wall fixings for brick wall installation or using the HW4 anchors for gyprock sheeted cavity walls will have no movement between the bracket base plate and the wall surface when load is applied to the bracket support rod. The installer must check this before fitting the shelf to the brackets.
