A correctly installed shelf bracket installed using the recommended supplied wall fixings for masonry walls or the hollow wall fixings HW4 anchors will have no visible movement between the bracket base plate and the wall surface when load is applied to the bracket support rod.
High quality matte black finish floating shelf , the size is 1200x250x50mm thick. Bracket is supplied as per below, plus screw and plug fixings for a solid brick type wall. Ideally for the best weight capacity this floating shelf should be fitted to good condition solid brick/cement type walls, however it can be fitted to hollow cavity gyprock type walls using the correct fixings. This floating shelf has a weight capacity of up to 20kg when fitted correctly to a good condition brick/masonry type wall using the supplied screws and wall plugs, and fitted by an experienced shelving installer. The floating shelf can also be fitted to cavity gyprock walls using these hollow wall anchors here. Use 5 per bracket so 5 per shelf. Weight capacity would then be dependent on the strength of the gyprock wall sheeting, but expect up to 10kg of evenly distributed load when fitted correctly by an experienced shelving installer using the HW3 wall anchors. We do not recommend using “wall mates” brand hollow wall anchors for fitting floating shelf brackets due to lower weight capacity.. The installer must check that before fitting the shelf onto the brackets.
